  Obituary   he Gadsden Times, Wednesday, May 23, 1973 Miss Emma L. "Kittie" Stroud, 87, South 9th Street, died at a local hospital yesterday. Surviving nephews, Charles Eugene Cowan, Jr.; Robert Miles Cowan; Edward F. Frist and Harold Frist all of Gadsden; niece, Annie Mae Cowan, Gadsden. Graveside service and interment tomorrow in Forrest Cemetery. Miss Stroud was a native of Jackson Gap, Alabama and a resident of Gadsden most of her life. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Gadsden. Collier-Butler Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
