THE GADSDEN TIMES GADSDEN, ALABAMA WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 31, 1934 FRONT PAGE L.B. Stroud Dies of Long Illness; Rites Thursday ______________________________ Former Gadsden Citizen Succumbs at Birmingham Home ______________________________ L.B. Stroud, 82, died at the home of his son, B.M. Stroud, at Birmingham last Tuesday, the victim of old age and complications. Mr. Stroud was a citizen of Gadsden for 42 years. He resided in East Gadsden most of that time and was well and favorable known over the county. The body will be brought to Gadsden and funeral service will be held at the Brown Funeral Home on South Fourth Street at 1:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. H.M. Moyers of Gadsden; one son, B.M. Stroud of Birmingham; two brothers, H. and Walter Stroud of Gadsden, and two sisters, Miss Susie Stroud and Mrs. D.N. Jelks of Gadsden.
