      ANNISTON — A Memorial Service for Mrs. Mildred Kendrick Prichard, 82, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at K.L. Brown Memory Chapel in Anniston with the Reverend Sonny Champion officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from noon until the service hour at the funeral home. Mrs. Prichard died September 14, 2008 at Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Prichard retired in 1972 after working for 22 years in the civil service. She served the majority of her career as a U.S. Air Force Generalís secretary. She was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church in Anniston.

      She is preceded in death by her sisters, Virginia Cooper, Dot Deblasio, and Merill Douglas.

      Mrs. Prichard is survived by her husband, Tom Prichard, of Anniston; a stepdaughter, Jane Vermilya and her husband, Wright, of Woodstock, Ga.; a stepson, Greg Prichard and his wife, Planett, of Appling, Ga.; a niece, Judy Aubuchon, of Melbourne, Fla.; and a nephew, Nelson Douglas of Sherman, Miss.

      In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in remembrance of Mrs. Prichard.
