Obituary
Bobbie Middlebrooks Weatherly, 90, died Tuesday, June 20, 2006.
The service will be at 2 p.m. EDT Saturday at the Gallery at Westminster Oaks. Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. EDT today at the Gallery at Westminster Oaks. Beggs Funeral Home Apalachee Chapel is handling arrangements.

Bobbie, a longtime member of Trinity United Methodist Church, was born Jan. 8, 1916, in Thomaston, Ga., the second daughter of Rob Roy and Eva Mae Middlebrooks. In 1924, she moved to Miccosukee, where she attended grammar school.
In 1928, she moved to Norman Park, Ga., where she met the love of her life, James Weatherly. She graduated from high school at Norman Junior College when she was 16.
In 1932, she enrolled at the Florida State College for Women, where she pledged to the Alpha Gamma Delta sorority, which had a great influence on her life.
She transferred to the University of Georgia, where she graduated in 1936.
In 1937, she married James Weatherly the week after he graduated from flight school at the Naval Air Station in Pensacola. They moved to San Diego on the way to Honolulu, where Bobbie, Jim and their daughter the bombing of Pearl Harbor.
After 23 years as a Navy family, Bobbie, Jim and their two children retired to Tallahassee in 1955.
Survivors include a daughter, a son, six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and another great-grandchild expected in September.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James F. Weatherly.
