  Obituary   Irene Mincy, 99, of Corinth, MS, passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at Mississippi Care Center in Corinth. She was born in Alcorn County, MS on February 5, 1917 to the late Dennis and Bessie Cornelius. Irene was a cook/baker for many years at Magnolia Regional Health Center and a member of Church of the Crossroads. Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 PM Friday, August 19, 2016 at from 10 AM till service time Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Magnolia Funeral Home. A celebration of Irene's life will be held at 11 AM Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, officiated by Bro. Gary Caveness. Interment will follow in Henry Cemetery. Magnolia Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements. Irene is survived by her sons: James Mincy (Mattie) of Corinth and John Mincy (Kathryn) of Iuka; her daughters: Faye Shaalan (Mo) of Corinth, Gail Stables (Al) of Corinth, Doris Holder (Paul) of Jacks Creek, TN, Beverly Wolfe (Bob Bociek) of Ronceverte, WV, and JoAnn Hindmon of Corinth; her grandchildren: Perry Mincy (Mary Kay), Charles Mincy (Michelle), Tammy Butler, Todd Hindmon (Michelle), Chris Porterfield (Amy), Susan Collier (Alan), Elizabeth DeGraffenreid (Jim), Jill Darling (Charles), Jeff Mincy (Carmen), Pam Colley, Mindi Kern (Joey), Sean Shaalan, Benson Skelton (Lana), Nancy Shaw (Robert), Amy Biggs (Glen), Mackenzie Michel (Jericho), Isaac Wolfe, and Riley Wolfe; 28 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; her brother: Avon Grissom of Farmington; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 69 plus years: Roy Mincy; her daughter: Marlene Mincy Phifer (Leroy); her grandchildren: Wes Skelton, John Wade Mincy, David Hindmon; her brother: Leonard Cornelius; her sisters: Dorothy White and Ethel Cornelius.
