He married Rohese le Grantmesnil, daughter of Hugh I, seigneur de Grandmesnil Lord of Courcy Robert de Courcy was a witness to the Confirmation Charter of King Henry I to the Prior and Convent of St. Bartholomew in 1133 at London, England.2 He was made, by King Henry I, one of the greater Barons in 1133 at Westminster, England.
